I'm Spartacus

Once again, the rabid wombats of the mouth-breathin', Bible-thumpin', hooker-humpin', rifle-rack-in-the-pickmup neocon wingnuts idjit crowd have tried to silence any voice raised against them.

Once again, they have succeeded... but only temporarily. And in this temporary success, they may have lost the greater battle.

As Marcotte (I think) pointed out, she no longer has to abide by the civil discourse rules of a campaign organization.

This whole thing was apparently started by Driftglass - sort of a "one for all, all for one" deal to show the fascists of the right that if they screw with ONE blogger, they screw with ALL bloggers.

  1. Saw your comment at Shakes and wanted to give you a shout:

Don't worry about how much traffic you're generating. You are a writer. That's what matters. Keep blogging and keep the faith.

    And welcome to the party.

  2. Unlike the current administration, I know when to cut my losses.

Blue Girl, Red State has become Blue Girl, Red State.

I started the thing by the seat of my pants in a fit of pique at my juvenile offender of a Governor. It kept growing. I kept adding stuff as readers hipped me to undiscovered sites and the link list grew and grew, with no rhyme nor reason, just alphabetized.

Ever since the update to “New Blogger” I haven’t been able to upload video and sometimes my pictures didn’t show up, even thought the html was there. I tried every fix imaginable, and don’t anyone dare send me any more “fixes” – I’m done. That ship has sailed. I have programmed on punchcards, and I know when to walk away and start over.

Since I plan on doing this blogging thing for a while, I decided to start fresh with a new URL and a new Google Account, and give the old girl a total makeover in the process. The links-lists are organized and links no one bothered clicking have been eliminated from the revamped version.

My quid pro quo blogging buddies got their own links list. Come check out your new position of prominence! Now you can be Welcome to the Revolution In This Moment and Someone will probably care, front and center, not mixed in with the Atrios and the Political Animal and all the incarnations of Talking Points Memo.

For now, all posts are going up in both places, and I will be reminding frequently of the move at the old place. The next time you are in the templates screen, you might make a mental note to update your links list with the new URL. Thanks!

  3. Since she started vigorous commenting on Political Animal, BGRS has been picking up all sorts of connections. She has more energy than enough. Seeing as you're up in the same section - people not picking up the quips - I thought I'd drop by and say hi.
