LinkedIn has an article today wherein businesses are bitching about people “ghosting” them: not responding to job offers, or accepting an offer but never showing up.
I would have more sympathy for the employers, except they established the concept, by interviewing people and never updating them again. In the bad old days, it would have taken a form letter, an envelope, a stamp, and one minute to address the envelope, to tell the interviewee he/she was not selected gor the position. It's even easier now: 30 seconds to send an email.
They started it. They shouldn’t be unhappy when we adopt their habits.
